About Me

If you found me searching for the lyrics to the children's song, you can find them here.
I am a researcher in bionanotechnology currently living and working in Tokyo. I moved out here nearly three years ago, against my better judgement but in search of adventure. It has certainly been an adventure and not one I would have missed for the world.
I am trying to retrain as a designer and you may see the odd example of my work appear here as I progress.
I also indulge in opinionated rambling.

For clarification…
The sheep is feeling slightly lonely, not me. I’m just making noises like a lonely sheep, as you do. Today’s FBB (Fat Bird Benchmark) is 13 mins 30 secs, non-stop. I applied ice and analgesics to my knee in an … Continue reading
BLAAAAAART!!
In case you’re wondering, the title of this post is the noise a sheep makes when it has been engrossed in chewing on a particularly tasty patch of grass and raises its head to find the rest of the flock … Continue reading

What did the fish say when it swam into a wall?
… … … Dam! It’s not all about my fondness for terrible puns, it’s also an opportunity to express my frustration. I may have set a new Fat Bird Benchmark yesterday, but my knee is not at all happy about … Continue reading
