Still alive, nothing broken

I wouldn’t say I’m a natural snowboarder* but I did begin to get it and I think it is something I could do well enough to make a holiday out of with some perseverance. No photos I’m afraid; I spent far to much time lying in the snow groaning for photography, plus it was cloudy so there wasn’t much to see.

*A natural snowboarder is someone like our student Michi, who does no sport, cannot ski and has never been on a snowboard in her life. She went straight up on the lift while I was still figuring out how to stand up, came down the slope once and was already at the same standard as anyone in our group. On day two, after a maximum of 4 hrs snowboarding, she was tackling red runs. I hate her.

About Nell

I am a researcher in bionanotechnology currently living and working in Tokyo. I moved out here nearly three years ago, against my better judgement but in search of adventure. It has certainly been an adventure and not one I would have missed for the world. I am trying to retrain as a designer and you may see the odd example of my work appear here as I progress. I also indulge in opinionated rambling.
