When I watch videos like this, I want to shout from the roof top in frustration “WHY AREN’T WE ALREADY DOING THIS?!”
In the light of the ongoing and increasingly worrisome Horizon oil spill it becomes even more relevant.
I’d like to draw to attention in particular to one comment made about 5 mins into the second video. Germany went from no wind energy to 25% of its electricity from wind (on an average month, 50% on a good one) in 8 years. 8 YEARS! We could have this cracked in two decades and we don’t need nuclear power to do it.
