About Me

If you found me searching for the lyrics to the children's song, you can find them here.
I am a researcher in bionanotechnology currently living and working in Tokyo. I moved out here nearly three years ago, against my better judgement but in search of adventure. It has certainly been an adventure and not one I would have missed for the world.
I am trying to retrain as a designer and you may see the odd example of my work appear here as I progress.
I also indulge in opinionated rambling.

David Cameron fails to grasp the meaning of compassion
Our esteemed Prime Minister has said: It is absolutely clear that Raoul Moat was a callous murderer, full stop, end of story. I cannot understand any wave, however small, of public sympathy for this man. There should be sympathy for … Continue reading

A day and a half…
…of arghhhhhhhh! Still, laptop seems better now, touch wood. A strange thing has happened to me. All week I have been craving fruit-based drinks, you know, Ribena, orange juice, that sort of thing. Not fizzy drinks but the kind of … Continue reading

Wibble wobble
Apparently my visa has arrived. I haven’t seen it yet as it’s gone to my parents house, but I am reliably informed that: “That photo is appalling! I told you to stretch your neck out so we couldn’t see all … Continue reading
